Detail
Solanum is a nightshade species with poisonous fruit. The toxin is poisonous, it is generally not life-threatening to humans, but it may cause gastric problems.

After the fruit is no longer attractive, cut the Solanum's stems back by half.

Because Solanum enjoys bright light and fairly low temperatures you can allow it to sit outside during the summer, with the correct temperatures. Plants that don't bloom usually aren't getting enough light. The cool rest followed by a warm, sunny summer should trigger a flush of new flowers followed by peppers. They generally live up to 10 years, producing fruit usually in their second or third year, and every year after that.

Keep the soil moist to touch and water once the soil feels very slightly dry. At the end of winter until the start of spring allow the soil to become fairly dry before watering.
