浇水应注意见干见湿，龟背竹喜温暖潮湿，喜肥耐阴，忌强光，极不耐寒旱。夏秋季置于半阴环境，早晚给叶面喷水，保持通风湿润，越冬温度≥10℃，通风透光。施肥以氮肥为主，半个月施液体肥灌根一次，半个月到一个月左右用硫酸亚铁兑水灌根，保持土壤弱酸性，有助于叶面光泽油亮
